Desktop App — Your data stays local
All billing data, customer records, inventory, and sales history in the Windows desktop app are stored locally in an SQLite database on your PC. Talvera Solutions LLP cannot access, view, or share this data.
Cloud POS — Data stored on our servers
Data entered into the Cloud POS (app.talveraorbit.com) — products, customers, and sales — is stored on our cloud servers (AWS via Supabase), secured with encryption at rest and in transit.
1. Information We Collect
On the website (talveraorbit.com):
- Business/outlet name and mobile number (for account creation)
- Payment information (processed by Razorpay — we do not store card details)
- License key and machine identifier (for desktop license binding)
- Cloud POS login credentials (email and password, stored as bcrypt hash)
In the desktop application (Windows):
- All data (products, customers, sales, expenses) is stored only on your local device
- License validation sends only your license key and machine ID to our server
- No billing or customer data is ever sent to our servers
In the Cloud POS (app.talveraorbit.com):
- All POS data (products, customers, sales) is stored in our cloud database (Supabase on AWS)
- Data is associated with your organisation account and accessible only by your authorised users
- We do not use your business data for any purpose other than providing the service to you
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your license account
- To validate your desktop license and prevent unauthorised use
- To provision and manage your Cloud POS organisation, stores, and users
- To process payments and issue invoices
- To send important product updates or support responses (only when contacted)
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Data Storage & Security
- License account data is stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS, with encryption at rest)
- Cloud POS business data is stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS, with encryption at rest and in transit)
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt — we cannot recover your password
- All communication between applications and our servers uses HTTPS
- Cloud POS data is retained for up to 90 days after license expiry, then deleted unless renewed
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Razorpay — payment processing (subject to Razorpay's privacy policy)
- Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
- Vercel — website hosting
5. Your Rights
You may request at any time:
- Access to the personal data we hold about you
- Deletion of your account and associated data
- Correction of incorrect information
