Manufacturing Software for Garment & Textile Units
Fabric goes to the printer, panels to the embroiderer, pieces to the washing unit — and every one of those is a challan with a date it must be back by. Orbit keeps that clock, and tells you what the style cost to make once the job is closed.

What costs a garment manufacturer money
And what Orbit does about it.
Half the Work Is Outside the Factory
Printing, embroidery, washing and finishing happen at other units and the material is tracked in a notebook. Each dispatch is a job-work challan with a return-by date and a record of what came back.
The Costing Sheet and the Real Cost Disagree
The style was costed in a spreadsheet before production and never checked after. Orbit holds the planned cost from the bill of material and sets the actual against it when the job closes.
Stock by Size and Colour Is Never Right
Finished pieces are counted as one number per style. Orbit carries each size and colour as its own variant, so the stock of medium in navy is a figure and not an estimate.

Garment Manufacturer software — FAQs
What manufacturers ask us first.
How is fabric sent out for printing or embroidery tracked?
On a job-work challan. The material leaves your stores but stays in your books as goods with the job worker. When it comes back you record what returned, what was rejected and what was consumed there, with the job worker’s charge and tax. Each line has the date by which it must be back, with alerts as it approaches, and the same register gives the ITC-04 figures.
Does it handle sizes and colours?
Yes. A garment unit is licensed on the apparel business type, so the item master carries size and colour variants, and stock, sales and purchase are all kept at that level.
Can I raise an order from the buyer’s purchase order without retyping it?
Yes. Paste the buyer’s order — a CSV, a table copied from Excel or the columns copied from a PDF — and Orbit reads the lines and matches them to your items by barcode, HSN and description. You see the reading beside what it matched before anything is added, and unmatched lines come in under the buyer’s own wording.
Does it support export invoices?
Yes. An export invoice can be printed in the buyer’s currency while your books stay in rupees, using a dated table of exchange rates so an old invoice keeps the rate it was raised at. A register lists export invoices with their shipping-bill details and shows the ones still missing them.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Orbit is a Windows desktop app that keeps your garment manufacturer data in a database on your own PC, so bills of material, work orders, stock, invoicing and reports keep working with no internet at all. A second PC in the office or on the floor connects to the first over your own network.
Does it generate e-invoices and e-way bills?
Orbit raises the GST tax invoice and records the IRN and e-way bill number against it, and it produces the GST registers, GSTR-2B reconciliation and ITC-04 figures. Generating an IRN or an e-way bill from inside the app, and filing returns, are not built — those are done on the government portal or through your CA.
Is there a free trial for manufacturers?
Yes — a 14-day trial of the full manufacturer app on one Windows PC, no credit card needed. Or book a demo and we will walk through it with one of your own products, from its bill of material to a costed job.
How is it priced?
Manufacturing is quoted per business rather than sold off a price list, because it depends on how many users and computers you run. Book a demo and we will send a written quote for your garment manufacturer.
Can I keep using it for billing and accounts?
Yes. A manufacturer licence is everything a shop licence has — GST invoicing, purchases, stock, customers, the full books with trial balance, profit and loss and balance sheet, and Tally export — with the production modules added on top.
