What slows a fmcg distributor down
And what Orbit does about it.
Beats Live in a Notebook
Which outlets are on which day, in what order, lives in a salesman's head until he leaves. Orbit keeps each beat and its outlets in call order, with their outstanding beside them.
Schemes Eat Margin Invisibly
Buy-ten-get-one is simple on the invoice and invisible in the P&L. Orbit costs the free goods on every bill, so you see what a scheme actually cost.
Every Dealer, a Different Rate
Wholesalers, retailers and modern trade each pay a different price. Price lists by dealer category, with quantity slabs, apply the right rate automatically.
Built for the way you distribute

FMCG Distributor software — FAQs
What fmcg distributors ask us first.
Can I plan beats and routes for my salesmen?
Yes. Each beat holds its outlets in the order your salesman walks them — you set the order, because you know the one-way streets and the shop that opens at eleven. Opening a beat shows every outlet on it with what they owe.
Can different dealers get different prices?
Yes. Dealers are grouped into categories, each category has its own price list, and a list can carry quantity slabs. When you change a list dealers are already priced from, Orbit saves a new version rather than repricing orders that were already agreed.
How are schemes and free goods handled?
A scheme is set up once and scoped to dealer categories. On the invoice the free quantity is added and costed, so both the dealer's bill and your margin reports are right.
Can my retailers send orders to me directly?
Yes, if they run Orbit too. Once you link as trading partners, a retailer's purchase order arrives on your Orders screen, and your invoice lands in their purchase entry — nobody retypes the bill on either side.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Orbit is a Windows desktop app that keeps your fmcg distributor data in a database on your own PC, so invoicing, stock, dealer ledgers and reports keep working with no internet at all. Trading-partner documents queue up and go out when the connection returns.
Is there a free trial for distributors?
Yes — a 14-day trial of the full distributor app on one Windows PC, no credit card needed. Or book a demo and we will walk through it with your own dealers and products.
How is it priced?
Distribution is quoted per business rather than sold off a price list, because it depends on how many users, warehouses and branches you run. Book a demo and we will send a written quote for your fmcg distributor business.
Can I sell to retailers who do not use Orbit?
Of course. Every dealer gets a normal GST invoice, printed or shared as a PDF. Retailers who do run Orbit can also link with you, so their orders arrive on your screen and your invoices land in their purchase entry.
