What wholesale distributors ask us first.
Is this a separate product from your shop billing software?
It is the same Orbit desktop app, switched into distribution by your licence key. A distributor licence adds dealers, price lists, schemes, beats and receivables to everything a shop already has, so cash-and-carry billing at your own counter keeps working too.
Can I set credit terms per dealer?
Yes. Each dealer carries its own credit terms, and receivables are aged against them. A bill with no terms set is still aged but is never called overdue, because a due date nobody set is not a due date.
Can I run more than one warehouse?
Yes. Stock is held per warehouse, moved between them by transfer with a document on each move, and checked by physical count. A separately licensed godown can also issue stock to your branches.
Does it do e-invoicing and e-way bills?
The invoice register tracks the IRN and e-way bill number on every invoice and lists the ones still missing an IRN, so nothing that needs one leaves without it.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Orbit is a Windows desktop app that keeps your wholesale distributor data in a database on your own PC, so invoicing, stock, dealer ledgers and reports keep working with no internet at all. Trading-partner documents queue up and go out when the connection returns.
